Understanding Insurance & Costs

Clear, straightforward information so you can make an informed decision.

Start with Clarity

One of the most common questions we hear is, "Will insurance cover this?" The answer depends on your condition and your plan.

Many insurance providers, including Medicare, cover HBOT for certain medically approved conditions. For other uses, it may be considered elective or not covered. We'll help you understand where you stand before you begin.

As an independent, free-standing clinic, we accept insurance without the extra facility fees often charged by hospital-based programs.

When Insurance May Apply

Coverage is typically considered for conditions such as:

  • Diabetic wounds of the lower extremities

  • Radiation-related tissue damage

  • Chronic bone infections that haven't responded to standard treatment

  • Compromised skin grafts and flaps

Each case must meet specific criteria, and coverage varies by plan. Insurance may require a physician referral, documentation of your condition, or prior authorization. We'll help guide you through the process.

When Insurance May Not Apply

HBOT may not be covered for conditions that aren't approved for coverage, wellness or preventive use, or cases that don't meet your plan's criteria. If that's your situation, we'll explain your options clearly.

Self-Pay Options

For patients without coverage, self-pay options are available. Because treatment usually involves a series of sessions, we'll outline the expected course and costs upfront, so there are no surprises.

Your total cost depends on your condition, the number of sessions recommended, and whether insurance is involved. We'll walk through all of it before treatment begins.

Our Approach

Financial clarity is part of good care. That means no pressure to move forward, clear explanations of your options, and honest conversations about what to expect. Our job isn't to sell you treatment. It's to help you make a decision that makes sense medically and financially.

Common Questions

Do I need a referral?
If insurance is involved, a referral is often required. For self-pay, it may not be necessary. We'll guide you either way.

Will you verify my insurance?
We can help you understand your benefits and next steps.

Can I start before insurance approval?
In some cases, yes. We'll explain the considerations before you decide.
