Conditions We Treat with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
HBOT is used as part of treatment for specific medical conditions, especially where healing is limited by reduced oxygen supply.
Where HBOT May Fit
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is not a general wellness treatment. It is most often considered when a specific condition has been diagnosed, standard care is already in place, and healing still needs more support.
Below are the conditions we work with most often. Choose one to learn how HBOT may fit into care, who may be a candidate, and what to expect.
Explore by Condition
Diabetic Wounds — Diabetic foot ulcers and lower-extremity wounds that are slow to heal.
Radiation Injury — Tissue damage that appears months or years after radiation treatment.
Chronic Non-Healing Wounds — Wounds that have stalled despite consistent wound care.
Surgical Recovery — Surgical sites that are not healing as expected.
Bone Infections — Chronic bone infections (osteomyelitis) that have not responded to standard treatment.
Skin Grafts & Flaps — Grafts or flaps at risk due to poor blood flow.
Other Conditions
HBOT is also used for a range of other FDA-recognized and emerging indications. Emerging uses can be discussed case by case during a consultation. For the full list, including conditions where HBOT should not be used, see our Medical Conditions page.
Not Sure Where You Fit?
Many patients aren't sure which category applies to them. That's what the consultation is for.
